Grumpy’s Café is a Tremont favorite that is still going strong after opening in It’s new location on W.14th over two years ago. A feel good atmosphere with bold bright colors serves as the background for local art that adorns both dining rooms to give it an eclectic flavor- that when added to the smiling service makes one feel immediately welcome. Their weekday breakfast and weekend brunch is incomparable with walnut French toast and jambalaya omelets. Lunches include healthy portions that vary in taste from comfort foods, like meatloaf melts, to daily specials- like jerk seasoned tilapia that cater to a quick in and out. Dinner is casual and satisfying with reasonably priced dishes packed full of American and South-west flavors.
